Come and join us
Our entire team is working hard on the 2008 Seaplane Festival.
The Western States Seaplane Festival is a major regional event
that is organized and staffed completely by volunteers. The Festival attracts seaplanes from
as far away as Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. Families and seaplane enthusiasts from
every corner of northern California will travel to Lake County to see the seaplanes in action.
Join our efforts to make this a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for
the public, our guests, vendors, and the seaplane crews.
The Club will once again host a pancake breakfast at the
Seaplane Festival to benefit their many charitable and scholarship activities.
This year also will mark the 19th annual presentation of their very successful
and popular Memorial Day Crafts Fair and Breakfast. For details:

Eric Wheaton
to head Festival
Eric Wheaton has been actively involved in past Seaplane Festivals. Last year, he recruited support from the U.S. Coast Guard for an on-scene helicopter water rescue demo and headed up the Kiwanis pancake breakfast.
Damon Trimble, past chairman of the Festival, announced, "We are delighted with this appointment. Eric will bring a rich flying background and a clear management focus to our area's premier family-oriented event."
Mr. Wheaton's extensive background includes a career as a pilot and officer in the the U.S. Air Force, management at First Command Financial Planning, high performance driving instructor with the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), and an officer with the Kiwanis Club of Lakeport. He is also an active member of the Lake County Airmens Association.
"We plan to expand on our successes and have set a goal of doubling last year's attendance. We are planning many new and exciting attractions for both the seaplane crews and the public that will visit our lake."
