Walking Tours
|
|
Take families or small groups on short walking tours of the Festival, including
the seaplanes that are on display at the Natural High School (NHS).
Although being a pilot would be handy, it is not at all required. |
To help the public learn about the unique
features of each aircraft, all airplane owners are being asked to create
a "story board" for display at the aircraft.
To prepare for your tours, the week before the Festival, we will provide a
brief orientation class and a set of notes about each airplane.
You can also talk to the various owners/pilots about their airplane and
read each story board in advance.
You can then share a ten to fifteen minute walking tour with families or small groups
through the display of seaplanes. Being a seaplane expert is not at all required.
You will be making our guests feel welcome and helping each have an enjoyable
and educational Seaplane Festival experience.
If you are able, our handicap guests may also require a little extra assistance and care to
ensure a enjoyable visit to Lakeport.
Team Leaders
Each of our teams needs a Team Leader to plan and manage their team's
functions, and then to guide the team
members on the day of the Festival. Being a Team Leader does not require a great deal
of time, just attend a few planning meetings prior to the Festival.
